QR code generator

Create a free QR code for any web link

123QR generates a QR code that points to a short link you control. Paste any URL, get a scannable image in seconds, and change where it points later without reprinting anything.

The code itself never changes once it is printed. What changes is the destination behind it, which lives in your account and can be edited at any time.

What you get

  • A dynamic QR code that redirects to any web URL you choose.
  • PNG and SVG downloads, so you can drop the code into print layouts or web pages.
  • The ability to change the destination later without touching the printed image.
  • Scan analytics for every code: time, coarse location, device, browser and referrer.
  • A free account with no credit card required.

How to create one

  1. 01

Create a free account. This is where your codes and their destinations live.

  2. 02

    Enter your destination

Paste the URL you want the code to open — a website, a hosted PDF, a review form, a social profile.

  3. 03

    Generate the code

123QR issues a short link and builds a QR pattern around it. The pattern only ever contains that short link.

  4. 04

    Download

Get the code as PNG for quick use or SVG for print production, where you need a clean vector at any size.

  5. 05

    Edit anytime

Log back in and change the destination whenever you need to. The next scan goes to the new address; the printed image never has to change.

What it does not do

Being upfront about this matters more than a longer feature list.

  • No logo or colour designer. Codes are generated as standard black-on-white patterns, not customised artwork.
  • No raw WiFi or vCard payloads. Every code encodes a web URL, not a device credential or contact card.
  • URL destinations only. If you need a code that opens WhatsApp or an app listing, point it at a wa.me link or a store listing URL.
  • No password protection, expiry dates or geo-targeting on the redirect itself.

Editing a code after it is printed

Because the printed pattern only contains a short link, editing the destination in your dashboard immediately changes where every printed copy leads. There is no reprint, no new file to send to a printer, no wasted stock.

If a code is no longer needed, pause it rather than delete it. A paused code shows a neutral page instead of an error; deleting it breaks the printed material for good.

Reading your scan data

Every scan of a dynamic code is logged: when it happened, a coarse location, the device type, browser, operating system and referrer. This is enough to tell which placement is working without collecting anything invasive.

Common questions

Is the QR code generator free?
Yes. Creating codes, downloading PNG and SVG files, editing destinations and viewing scan analytics are all free, with no credit card required.
Do I need an account?
Yes. The account is what stores the mapping between your short link and its destination, which is what makes the code editable and trackable.
Can I use a 123QR code commercially?
Yes. There are no restrictions on using generated codes in commercial print, packaging, advertising or products.
What resolution should I print at?
Use the SVG download for print. It is vector, so it stays sharp at any size from a business card to a poster. If you must use PNG, generate it larger than the final print size, not smaller.
Can the QR code encode WiFi details or a contact card directly?
No. 123QR codes only encode web URLs. For WiFi or contact information, host that information on a page and point the code at it.
